The last couple of weeks I've been working on the brakes. Both front and rear brakes would not release, so I had to take the wheels off and clean things up. I also drained and refilled the forks while the front wheel was off.

But with the petcock rebuilt and the brakes working it was time for the first ride. I fired the bike up Saturday morning and rode it around the block. Everything seemed OK and I got it up to 3rd gear. I didn't ride it for long since the bike isn't registered.

The throttle was smooth but it still does not return to the idle position without some help. I also have to fix the horn.

Now I'll start working on the title and registration.

Tom
