I would have picked the tag "bullshitter" but not sure if that's proper.
I'd love to see a picture of these reverse megaphones... not only am I a bullshitter, i'm a young bastard too, and was born a good 20 years after some of you bought your first superhawk, so I never had that first hand experience as my bike has the ol' peashooters.
I'm going to poke around on the web and see if i can find a picture. Might get us a step closer.
Its almost done

They are indeed JC Whitneys and yes the bike may be too nice to have them on it, but
120 compaired to 700 for nice repros is a better option for me right now.
The way I look at it, no restoration is ever "done"
I wanted to get it running and fine tune over the years.
Not bad for a basket case and a parts bike from Green Bay wisconsin

The bike looks great! Awsome job on the resto! I had the same mufflers on the first Superhawk that I purchased, and I thought that they looked, and sounded great. Ther are maybe one in a million people that would actually know that those aren't the correct pipes for your bike. I finally did get a decent set of stock mufflers with a truck load of CB77 parts that I traded a restored C100 for. I used them on my latest resto. Enjoy your bike, and post some more pics when you can.

I've got the shortys on my CL350 replacing the scrambler mufflers and they work great and have a really throaty growl. Not bad, although they were only $25 each: http://www.jcwhitney.com/CHROME-PLATED- ... _10111.jcw
