ignition switch 65 superhawk

i got a new key made for my switch, I am sure you know it is a 3 position switch. Full left it seems to be off, in the middle position my lights come on and it will start and full clockwise position it turns off lights and kills the engine. Is this really only a 1 live position switch or is something wrong w/ 1 of my positions?

Yes, in Honda's Infinite Wisdom file the last is a "parking" feature where as the tail light comes on , but the ignition is killed. From days gone by this has been a Japanese requirement and possibly other countries also. Maybe not so much any more. Hope this enlightens you. I feel the same way on my Scramblers.
