Misc color questions

I've searched on here a bit, but haven't found all of the compete info on the right colors for the misc parts on the Scramblers, taillight holder, side stand, center stand, etc.

My bike is (based on the harness tag) a '65 CL77. Emo probably knows, too, but does Silver's book go into this detail?

Might be time to buy it!

With the Scramblers the Tank, Ail Cleaner Covers and Fenders are silver. The rest is what ever color the frame is. ...............lm

BTW -- I've been reading your posts on the VJMC digest for at least two years, now.

I've aways heard that the side stand is supposed to be zinc plated -- not true?
-- chain guard same as frame?
-- the little brackets that the air filters mount to? (picky, aren't I?)

My CL is a red frame that someone had painted black, and I'm trying to put it back.

The side stand and air cleaner mounts, front engine hanger, coil brackets, passenger pegs, and all nuts and bolts were zinc plated and I have them cad plated because cad wards off rust better. Chain guard is same as frame.. ...............lm
