new owner 66 super hawk
new owner 66 super hawk
I just picked up a 66 super hawk to play with. Been playing with Triumphs and this is my first vintage honda to play with outside of a a couple of early 80's CT 110s. The Hawk is very orginal and needs a good clean up and a couple of parts. The switchgear on the bars is missing as is the starter drive cover and the round clutch cover-for lack of a better term. I think ebay will be a good source, but for NOS stuff who or what is the guru of NOS parts? This bike is orginal paint and I do not plan to restore it just clean it up and detail it as it is only orginal once. Thanks.
For new parts try:

It took 9 days from ordering to delivery on my last order. They were all Honda parts and exactly what I wanted. Shipping was very reasonable.
I think Loud Mouse on this forum has a lot of used spare parts. You might try him. I think he is somewhere in Texas.

I've used these guys in Holland with very good results and they have the parts fiches online
so even if you haven't got the part number you can identify it and check availability and price.
They also show where a part has been replaced with a later item and link to it.

They deal in Euros ( which is bad for anyone changing dollars ) but you may be able to avoid the
Eurpoean taxes ( 19% ).

CMSNL is a little pricey but have good stuff, a little slow on the shipping tho... a short story 'bout Ohio Cycle.... they had stuff I was looking for that CMSNL didn't have, and at better prices. I talked to Ohio Cycle on a Friday to order, mailed the order in on Monday, came home from work on Wednesday and the UPS truck pulled up with my order... WOW, thanks Nick, all my first searches will go through him. It probably helps that he is in the Cleveland area and so am I. But I think I see why everyone prefers Ohio Cycle, great to do business with ! -dc
