Grease Fittings

Post by 68Cb77 » Tue Apr 08, 2008 2:29 pm

I have a feeling they're not called grease fittings, but I tried to put my grease gun on there and they sure don't fit. The fittings that are on the end of the swingarm bolt, can I still buy some sort of nipple for my grease gun that fits those? Thanks

They're just called 'fittings' on the online fiche; cheap as chips from Ed at Western Hills Honda.

Grease guns don't fit, you're right. But I bought this kit from thor212; very helpful guy! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 0205294722
and it works really well.

I found the part you need in a tool kit for my TOYOTA pick up truck.
You may want to check with your TOYOTA dealer. .......lm

I bought a grease needle at napa for 2 bucks. It has a grease fitting on one end that goes in your gun and the needle is so small you can stick it in the fittings. Works great. Made by lincoln. nutt

i threw some new nipples into the bridgeport and turned off the threads for a straight fit the same size as the originals. not sure if there's clearance around them though for a new style grease gun head to fit on. (haven't reassembled yet)
