Dynamo covers
Who can tell me if the dynamo cover differs between CB motors & those fitted to Cs/CAs please? (And whether they do, of course!) They have different part nºs.
Thanks in advance,
Steve

Thanks for a quick reply davomoto. Forgive my ignorance, but I thought that 305s shared the same bottom end apart from the crank. I know the dynamos have dissimilar charging characteristics, but I take it then that they are also substantially physically different? Just interested in order to augment the cranial knowledge-base and for future reference.
Good 'ere, innit?

Steve, different crank 360 vs 180 degree, different trans gear ratios, different stator and inner and outer covers. The starter motor will interchange, and I believe all clutch side parts are interchangeable. I learned about the stator cover the hard way. I bought one on ebay thinking it would work for my CB. I polished it all up really nice, and then it didn't fit! Aaargh. I hate it when I win the stupid race.
