Correct Stator Output????

Post by dux66 » Sat Apr 05, 2008 8:13 pm

Does anyone know the correct output voltage on the AC generator wires? I have 6v on brown and yellow and 8v on purple. Also correct DC voltage after the rectifier? I read 30v leaving rectifier. (soild State 42amp from Oregon Motorcycle) I know this is high but for some reason thats what i am reading. I read through Bill Silvers engine repair guide but did not see this mentioned.
Thanks

Did you look thru any old posts because there is some discussions on charging which may have some info for you.Are you losing voltage or battery draining?Info I have for CA77 is 6 V on the yellow and brown also.It also says output from rect. to batt.(red with white stripe) should be 13-14.5 volts with engine over 3000rpm. system has potential of 30VDC.Hopefully a CB guy will chime in, but they use the same stators and rotors I believe.
