Worn Kickstart Shaft--options?

Post by 305explr » Mon Mar 24, 2008 12:10 am

I noticed upon reassembly that the roller bearing surface of the kickstart shaft was worn. Silver cautions heavily against reassembling. "The roller contact surface ...must be smooth and undamaged. Otherwise the kickstart lever will move or vibrate while riding....causing damage to other parts of the transmission."

I also saw it talked about in one posting elsewhere on here.

Here's a pic of the worn shaft. Can someone tell me what my options are? (Where to find a replacement if nec, etc.)

--Thanks

Thanks for confirming what I suspected. I'll start looking around for one.
