What is the correct finish on the CB77 cylinder, head and head side covers?

John, The cyl. head is raw (unpainted) The engine side covers are painted or finished in some fashion. I guess I haven't paid enough attention to say what it is. I would guess paint, But whatever it is is some good stuff. If I were to refinish those I would go to powder coating. Hope that helps. Kustommusic

Krylon dull aluminum seems to be the most widely accepted color for side cases. I use rustoleum heat resistent silver, and then shoot an automotive urethane top coat with hardener . This make it more resistent to gas and chips and scratches, and looks really nice as well.

Thanks for the information but I'm mainly looking for information on the finish on the cylinder and head parts.

Kustommusic, you mentioned the head is unpainted... can I assume that includes the head covers (point base and tach drive housing)? How about fins on the cylinders?
