Doing some painting today in my homemade paint booth made out of PVC pipe and plastic draped over it. Painted the covers in a 1650 aluminum engine paint and also painted the forks in aluminablast by Seymour paints. Everything turned out really well, now to let it dry, a little wet sanding and putting a couple of coats of clear enamel on everything. So, my question is this: since the engine paint for the covers is basically gas resistant, will putting that clear enamel on it be a good idea or will that enamel run or be affected should it get gasoline on it? Also, should I wet sand and put clear enamel on the forks or leave them alone?
Also, put on here a couple of shots of the valve job that was done. Looks good!!
