Can anyone tell me if there are any forks that will swap directly into my 65 cb72 yolks and will use the original wheel. Mine had a plastic front mudguard held on by jubilee clips. Or should I restor my forks and weld some lugs on to mount the mudguard properly.
This is a race bike not original.

Welding brackets to those forks would need care as you might distort the tubes.
Forks from a later Honda, such as a CB250 / 350, could be fitted but they still wouldn't have a bracket for that particular mudguard. My racebike has a plastic mudguard with CB350 (I think) forks.

The steel CB160 / S90 front mudguard is popular for the '60s Honda GP look. See pic below....
Fitting your wheel to another set of forks isn't going to be a problem. The 15mm spindle size is fairly common. Even the GT750 Suzuki wheel in my racebike has a 15mm spindle.

Thanks G-man I will see what's about at Stafford show. Distorting the tubes was a concern and the expensive of restoring them overall. I like the shorter mudguard but didn't like the jubilee clips. Thanks for the advise.
