Bent Clutch Actuator Rod - How?

Post by Seadog » Sat Jan 31, 2015 2:42 pm

Messing about in my right case area today and noticed that the clutch actuator rod is bent, flattened a bit and scored on the portion inside the case. The detent for the ball bearing is also off center. Any idea how this happens? Before I buy a used replacement, is there any variation in early or late model rods that I should know about? Mine is approximately 9-11/16 inches long. The seal should also be replaced. Hopefully I can find one at the Honda dealer.

Thanks, G-Man. I guess anything is possible. The fact remains that I have to replace it and the seal. Will any CA77 clutch rod do, or must I find a specific one for my '64?
