Motogiro Fall Event this coming weekend Oct 1st and 2nd

Post by Snakeoil » Mon Sep 26, 2011 7:00 pm

Too late to register, but if anyone wants to come down and see the bikes, the Fall event will be run out of Sunny Hill Restort in Greenville, NY which is just north of the Catskills. There is usually a good representation by the 305 crowd in all forms. I'll be riding my CL77.

For those who have never been to one, best time to drop by to see the bikes is around 4pm on Saturday. By then most if not all of the bikes will be back at HQ and might be going thru the last agility test for that day. Lots of other nice vintage bikes to see as well.

regards,
Rob

May not be any interest here in this event. But in case their is, I thought I'd mention that Honda 305s were well represented at this Fall's giro.Weather was not the best, with rain, and chilly temps but it did not prevent 80 riders from having a great time. Dave Roper was there again on his 250 Guzzi meat slicer. For those of you who may not be familiar with Dave, he's the only American to win an IoM event in the history of the event.

There were plenty of other Hondas in the mix from 65cc, 150, 160, 175 slopers and our favorite, the 305. The overall winner of the event was on a CL77 he had purchase 4 days prior when his Dream gave up the ghost and left him without a bike to ride.

For more info you can check out the USCRA site. No results or pictures posted yet that I see, but there are comments in the forum section.

regards,
Rob
