Got screwed nicely on a CA77 Dream out of the BronxGot screwed nicely on a CA77 Dream out of the BronxThis morning my much anticipated 1965 Honda Dream 305 arrived from the seller from NYC. In all of the online descriptions and over the phone the bike was described as being in "mint" condition. I would have accepted near mint, but the bike that arrived was anything but mint. Bent handlebar, damage to the front and rear fenders and plenty of things needing repair. Mint? Really? My fault for being too trusting and for not asking for more detailed images (the shots he had up were less than accurate).
Anyway, just so no one else has to go through a very expensive heartbreak like I did this morning, by very careful in dealing with a vintage motorcycle dealer out of NYC (the Bronx to be specific). Likes to be paid in cash and has numerous bikes listed on various online selling venues (not much on ebay). http://motorcycles.smartcarguide.com/listing/2346401/
http://localcheapcar.com/motorcycle.php ... ewyork-ny/ I'm going to name names because this guy sold me a pantload. His name is Marshall Singer out of the Bronx New York and he uses non-ebay sites like the 2 above. I paid $3800 for this bike. Paint and chrome are not even close to perfect. In fact I have come to realize that the bike in the picture may not be the bike I received or the images have been edited to conceal damage. I'll take pictures of the bike I received and post them.
