Need help, expert advise

Post by renoman » Tue Apr 26, 2011 7:33 am

Folks, I have a 1968 CL77. I was with my dad when he bought this bike new from the dealer. It has a red frame and silver tank and side covers. It also has chrome fenders. These were all on the bike at purchase. I have never seen any other 1968 CL77 in this color and chrome fenders. I contacted the dealer and he informed me that Honda knew in 1968 that the 350 was going to replace the 305. That Honda took all the inventory assembled bikes with the stock and titled them as 1968's. Can anyone else verify this or heard similar stories? Thanks

Welcome Renoman! Please take a minute to edit your location into your profile. Honda ceased production of the 305s in 1967. The bikes were usually titled as the year that they were sold, not manufactured. Only the later 67s came with chrrome fenders. Post your vin #, X out the last few digits if you're concerned, and we can tell you more about it!
