Rear alloy rim size?

Post by eyhonda » Tue Nov 10, 2009 7:10 am

I have two matching wm1 rims that I was going to use for my cb175 project. I am considering them for my cb77. Is the rear going to be too narrow? I will be spooning on a 3.00x18 on it. The rims may not fit the larger hubs but I will try anyway.

WM1 is too narrow for a 3.00 tire. WM2 would be the correct rim width. Using too narrow of a rim will affect the profile of the tire, rounding it out, and adversley affect the handling of the bike.

Ok thanks. I'll be on the look out for a wm2 alloy, non-shouldered rim to match the front.
