RIght side smoking??RIght side smoking??Finally got my superhawk running just right, and now the the right exhaust started smoking but not the left suspect vavle to be the problem or ring, smoke is gray going to try adjusting vavles and see what happens. Is it possible to have only one ring worn and not the other
Re: RIght side smoking??
right side smokingyeah i think thats the problem just got a copy of the parts list for the bike and the general honda service manual for all bikes upto 1988 so i'm going to pull it down and have a look over the next week
right side smokingI have stripped the engine down valve guides are perfect and the piston rings are the same . The only thing i found to be wrong is the pipe that run's form the inlet valves ( out side the head join's the valves) was blocked on the side that was smoking . When i have got it back together i will let you know if it has made any difference .

Have you had a look at the head gasket? If everything else really is hunky-dory, I wonder if you have a substandard gasket or o-rings around the oil feed. I would vote for valve guides but it might be something else letting extra oil into the exhaust. G-Man '60 C77 '60 C72 '62 C72 Dream '63 CL72
