Gents,
A few weeks ago My bike(66CL77) died on the way to work, I checked the timing and it was a little off. I re-adjusted the timing per Loud Mouses instructions as I have since aquiring the bike, I fired it up and it ran, but I had some popping and backfiring. I went over the timing a few times again with no improvement so I decided it would be a good time to replace the oil seals plug wires and clutch cable as I had been putting that off. I figured I would get to the timing later.
Once that was done I rechecked my timing and fired off the bike. This time I was only running on the left cylinder until I crack the throttle then I get fire to the right cylinder, at idle it's only on one cylinder. Once again I set the timing per LM's instruction, I have fuel and compression but no spark(at idle). Any ideas to what the problem might be?

As LM's instructions read "Points must be clean" Lesson learned! Ron Cribbs
