Thanks for the info. When I mentioned in an earlier post, that this might be the place to have a seat done, or get foam, I had just talked to the individual on the phone and was led to believe he was the best around for this kind of work. I have since done more research and have heard some things that would make me have some concearns about his ethics and workmanship. From my research, at this time I could not and would not recommend him.

Please accept my appology for my previous post giving advise on where to get foam.

When i've restored Vespa seats, i've always gone to walmart and bought a roll of the blue camping pads. It's 20"x70", closed cell water proof, and it's like $6. Cut it to size, add layers to the desired thickness.

Seat Foam

I'm preparing to restore my CA77 seat also. I've ordered a sheet of "rebond" foam - a type of closed-cell foam that's supposed to be for bike seats, car seats, etc. Supposed to be more durable. I just searched for rebond foam padding and found several places that sell it online - only problem is that the smallest sheet I found is 25"x80" ... which means I can do a BUNCH of seats :)

I'll repost when I get mine going and share the results.
