CB72 rebuild. Cafe racer? You could do a lot worse than talk to Bernard Saunders who has restored bikes for Honda in Japan and is a dealer for a lot of go-faster Honda parts....
http://www.motorcyclewebsite.com/b-c-saunders-ltd Just do some Googling to look for a style of parts you might be after. This is high end stuff... http://www.jl-exhausts.com/honda-493-c.asp G '60 C77 '60 C72 '62 C72 Dream '63 CL72

Old HondasHello everyone
Did not see you at Donnington G-Man, the big difference between the bikes in the picture and most of the bikes in the paddock with Mike Hailwood, Tommy Robb etc. on them is that these are / were genuine period race bikes, that said the I thought standard of some of the "replicas " was very high ( including the ones with 6 cylinders ! ) Did you see the two ( there might have been others, it was a big paddock ) racing CB72/77's, one in the parade and one being raced. Guerini7, there have been some nice Café Racers on this site over the years, I hope the project goes well. Gordon SAFOJ Re: Old HondasGordon
I didn't think you were going to be there! Other wise I'd have given you a call. Didn't see any CB72 based racers. I only went on Saturday and was dodging the rain most of the time! G

Cafe Racers / DonningtonHello
Malcolm/Graham, that's the third year I have been and still have not made it to the club hall yet. We had two race bikes with us ( unfortunately neither CB72/77 based ), with them and all the race bikes to look at the time seems to pass very quickly ! ( apparently I do a lot of talking as well ! ) Gurrini7 seems we have hijacked your post. Gordon SAFOJ
