Nice work! looks like you brought the frame to the engine, I like doing it like that. I also like to take the swingarm, and install the wheel, chaingard, brakestay, ect. , then it's just one bolt to attach the entire assy, to the frame. I see you have an rc51, those are way cool! We bought a pretty clean 86 VFR750F red white blue, about three years ago. I still can't believe how fast it is! We are in Ca., where you at? I would like riding my cb77 better, if it had a disc brake, I would much rather stop as fast as possible, instead of when it gets around to it!!! How are you planning on finishing yours, is it going to be stock?

Thanks, my first total resto. I am a honda car tech, have had Honda bikes for 35 years.
I plan this one to be stock. Next one will be a cafe racer most likely.
I do track days with my RC , its really built. Ohlins, wheels , motor ect..
I am in Northern Illinois
the Hawk is The RC's ancestor, the first sport twin Honda, i guess thats the attraction for me.

Coming together a little at a time. carbs rebuilt, filters ect mounted.
was hoping for some input on the breather clamp location.
see photo of the tensioner area. Is the clamp on the correct bolt?

I know, I ran out of hose. Since I cant find a "t" im going to run a hose to each air filter.
Why do both filters have a fitting if the vents t and go to the right filter?

Those vents on the filters were for tubes that went to the external jets on the rear of the CB72 POWER JET CARBS. Originally there were 2 tubes on the right air filter and one was for the head valve vent and the other for the CB72 carb. When HONDA dropped the valve vents in 1967 they dropped the tube on the air filter so when ya get a right filter with one tube rather than two you have one made during/after 1967. ...................lm
