Mufflers?

Also, slice up a soda can and use those as buffers between the clamp and the muffler. You can't even see mine and they worked great!

GREAT idea on the "aluminum" shim stock!!! I'll get a pic of the way mine is mounted. I basically used the "arm" the muffler came with but I used TWO bolts on the muffler. I'll get a pic of the "rear" muffler mounting tomorrow uploaded!

Here ya go, I used TWO bolts on the "factory" muffler bracket. I am going to replace these with some bolts just a tiny bit shorter and also use some CLOSE TOLERANCE (thin) nuts. Right now it DOES clear the chain guard, but it is close. I also want to find a way to "LOCK" the front part of the bracket from moving. So far... it's been OK, but I don't have many miles on it yet. That is just DUST on the muffler, not pits. Guess I need to take it for a ride? :^)

Thanks for the picture, that makes perfect sense!

Well, next time I work on a Dream I can use this information. For now I'll be fabricating a chain guard like another fellow mentioned doing. Waiting on the parts to come back from paint right now, might be a few weeks :(
