Points and condensors
Points and condensors
OK,
Got new points and a new condensor from a guy (NOS) and they don't fit the bike.....imagine that. I'd like to send someone pics of the parts (can't upload the pics, they're too big) and see if someone can help me. I just want to know if my bike's been jerry-rigged or if the parts are indeed wrong. Please help :)
Serial Number CA77E-1021451

Do you have pict. of whats on the bike?Your bike should take the Denso points. The cond. should have a connector that a small screw&nut to attach to the points and the other wire should have a conn. similar to the ones your wrong one has..Looks like the wrong ones in the pict.to me.Do you have a part number for what you bought?

This IS NOT the one for your bike.
The one ya need has a MUCH LONGER Green wire inside a Ivory protective cover.
Who did ya get that from?. ..........lm

The part I'm holding is the new condenser.....the terminals on the end of the wires aren't what's on the old condensor...
This condenser looks like it's for the CB77 305 Superhawk. The superhawk condenser connects at the coil and is acually attached to the coil bracket. Were the CA77 Dream attaches to the top of the engine and yeah it does have longer leads on them. I'd Ask for a refund if he gave you the wrong part or part number. Good luck.
