fuel cap vent

Post by Waveblaster » Mon Jun 23, 2014 8:16 pm

I have been searching for details on the fuel cap mod as per Honda's recommendations to overcome low fuel tank pressure. The notice I found on line mentions drilling a small hole but I am trying to clarify exactly where. It sounds like in the base towards the edge?. I am assuming it does not protrude through the top?

Upon closer inspection in the sun light I can see it already in place. Small hole approx 1.5mm on the atmosphere side of the gasket, right up near the edge. Appears drilled only through the bottom skin.
