Spark plug threads

Now that you point that out Goody, I'm not sure.
An NGK spec page I found on-line lists the D range plugs as having 1.25mm thread pitch.

It would be safer (and ultimately quicker) to pull off the head then run the tap through from the inside....

I bought a Spark Plug Chaser. Do you think using that would work, or cause more damage?

Was planning on using grease in the chaser threads and slowly threading it into the spark plug hole. Is that what you would recommend or do u have any other suggestions? Thanks.

Don't put the grease on the threads of the chaser. Put the grease on the flutes or the notches that go 90 degrees to the threads on the chaser. that way the chips will get caught in the grease. If you put grease on the threads you may cause more damage.
