305 oil leak

The new o-rings came in but I haven't had time to install them yet, they are definitely thicker then the ones that came in the kit. I guess the kit was just cheap and didn't have the exact correct size o-rings, this time I got them from mcmaster carr. I should get them in this weekend and I will let you know if it fixes the problem.

I got the o-rings in today, the leak has slowed significantly, only about one drop in 6-7 hours. I did manage to fix the leaking oil drain plug and almost finish the wiring today, so all in all it was a good day. Thanks to everyone for their help.

Cole, Sounds like progress.

That cover rarely leaks in my experience. I'd pop it off again and look for deep scratches or a raised portion where a PO jammed a screwdriver between the cases.

As of now the leak is slow enough for me to live with and if it ever gets worse, I will just replace the whole side cover with one that I know doesn't leak. As soon as the coil and front brake cable come in I can hopefully fire this bike up and go for a ride.
