CB72/77 Rear Shock - Spring Rates ?
CB72/77 Rear Shock - Spring Rates ?
Hi
I want to replace the springs on a set of Hagon ( Girling type ) rear shocks on my CB72 with something more supple as they just jar despite Hagons assembling them for the bike.
Been using some really cheap unknown make ones which were OK for poodling round town
but not upto long trips or thrashing it around back roads as the damping isn't brilliant.
Anyone ( LM ? ) got any suggestions on suitable spring rates or know what the originals were ?
I'm about 12 stone ( @170lbs )
thanks
Phil

RIDE IT DON'T HIDE IT!
Thanks Loud Mouse,
Unfortunately I don't have any original shocks, hence the Hagons but a friend does so I may
see if he can pull one off and try to get an idea on spring rate. The Hagons use a longer spring
than standard ( comparing their website with the Honda book ).
May end up as fit and test .. I have several sets of Girling springs accumulate dover the years.
cheers
