I found a couple original photos, dated 1968, of the 1966 CB77 I had then. I dug these up to try to get an idea of the length of the megs to use for this project. These were chrome plated, and the baffles consisted of what looked like a bath tub drain plate, wing-nutted to a cross bar in the end of the meg... very loud, as there was no other silencing/baffles. BTW a 1954 Ford Crestline in background - transportation for dates, bad weather, etc

The front and rear were bobbed - when the roads were wet, I got a "stripe" on my shirt - both sides.
You can't tell, but dig those wing-tip shoes.... those and penny loafers were "in".

Ed, are you revealing the roots of "LOUD MOUSE"?
I can't help but think that those megs contributed to my present-day hearing loss... but when we were young, we were invincible!

The actual Mouse was a Blue 1963 CB77 with copies of the MCM long megs which I had reproduced and added a sort of baffle chamber in the middle 1/3.
Not all that loud but did add some power. ................lm
