I'm sure I put away a couple of NOS chains somewhere. Sounds like it's time to dig them out and sell them.
I got into racing when there were Honda dealers dumping their old stuff and I used to be able to buy things in packs of 10 (gaskets) at heavy discounts. I even managed to get a copy of Laurie Fox's old parts lists and ordered everything that I could afford or needed including a new set of CL pipes - all long since used or sold to support the racing habit.

I did find a piece of the B pump gasket that had both compressed and uncompressed areas. It appears that the material is 0.032 material and compressed down to 0.020" as others have stated here.
Regarding gaskets sets. I've found sets without the oil pump gaskets (I too, wonder why they are not included) and with. Price without is $24.00 and with 49.00. Interesting considering new OEM pump gaskets are $3.00 each.
Thanks and regards,

Thought I should close the loop on this for future folks doing searches on the subject. Today, I took out the two NOS gaskets I got from Western Hills. Both measure 0.020 inch or 0.5MM thick. Both are also marked ASBESTOS, which I have not seen in many years. I suspect the gaskets I measured that were removed from my bike were aftermarket since they measured 0.031 where they were uncompressed.
Looking over these gaskets, I am doubtful they would compress much. They are much stiffer than gasket material I'm accustomed to seeing these days.
Guess, I'll use only one NOS on top of the screen and cut one for the bottom plate.
That primary idler gear arrangement is very neat. Are these gearsets made by somebody in the racing parts business or do you have them made up specifically for your engines?

Rob
