I am suspicious of the ignition coil in my C77. Two days ago it was running rough so I went to check the timing with a timing light this morning and found there was no spark. I had +12 volts on one coil lead and the other was switching between 1V and 12V with the electronic ignition (Probe) but still without spark. Then it blew a 20A fuse - should have been 8A.
I see quite a few after-market twin-lead coils on flea-bay but most want $20 to $30 to ship to Canada - almost as much as the coil (or more!)
What have ya'll been using to replace the original ignition coil???

No expert here, but it seems like any dual plug coil from early 70's Honda 4 (cb550, cb750, etc) can be a cheaper alternative. Several threads on this.
