one side is running hotter!
Hey guys, Need a little help on this one. Why would My cb77 be running hotter on the left side than the right side. I have an infared digital temp gun that I can get the temp off of each header pipe, right when it comes out of the engine. The right reads around 145-160 and the left reads around 170-185. The carbs are super clean and both have been rebuilt with new floats. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dizcod
Check for air leaks around the intake manifold by spraying carb cleaner on them while running. The rpms will change if there is an air leak. Sometimes this happens when the carb mounting screws are over tightened, causing the flange to warp. Also, of course check the basics. Slides are synchronized. Throttle adjustment screws are even. Mixture screws are evenly adjusted, if not it could be indicative of carb body passages not being completely clear of deposits.
