condenser wires just hangin around

i just picked up my first dream project and the wires to the condenser are just hanging, one has a bare wire at the tip that i think goes to the points, but the wire coming out of the points goes back towards the solenoid, and the other wire from the solenoid has a male plug, where does that go?
please help.
