RIght side smoking??
What was the outcome of the crack checking?
Wondering what the outcome was... I have (or had) the same problem, also on the right cylinder with no problem on the left. I also had the problem of oil leaking around the spark plug hole mentioned earlier in this post. this is all before the piston on the right side burned a hole in it (no damage to the cylinder or rings).
Thanks,
Ken
Thanks,
Ken

Right its back from a full crack test and there is nothing wrong so its a good clean new gaskets and put it back together . If that doesn't fix it I will have to pull it down again and have another look if I do see anything in the re-build I will let you know ok

Ok spent a very nice weekend in the garage rebuilding it . Then spent another very nice weekend in the garage taking it apart again . As a last ditch thing took the barrel into work to have it checked to see if it was oval . 1 rebore later new rings and pistons its the best bike I have ridden .
So thanks to everybody for the advice and if your in the same boat as I was the best thing I can say is look for a rebore .
Now on to the electric's
