Can't get it to fire
Can't get it to fire
My recently re-assembled and partially rebuilt CB77 won't fire. I have good spark, I have fuel, I even sprayed starter fluid into the carb. But no ignition when kicking the starter pedal. Not even a hick-up. When I sprayed fluid into the carb and kicked the starter the fluid sprayed back on me. That seems backwards to me. Shouldn't there be suction, drawing the fluid into the engine? Other things I have done that might impact firing: new rings, points, rebuilt carbs. Could I have put something on backwards that would prevent firing?
