Clutch giving up the ghost

Went on a 100mile ride and clutch started getting kinda stiff and just got super stiff on the way back to the point where I couldn’t find neutral. Anyway looked at the obvious issues like from the clutch lever down and lubed and cleaned everthing including the rod to the clutch itsellf and about to pull the cover off the other side to have a look at the clutch and try to figure out the problem. Any hint of what to look for would be great. Restored the bike about 6 years ago and not tons of miles on the new clutch and it could be apparent when I get the cover off. ‘63 superhawk.
