These little engine's will not ever break down.
Ive been driving it's little brother for 5 years now, practically everyday (daily drive to work) , with very minimal or NO maintainance , once in a year I renew the oil, set the points and the valve's and do a carb check, that's basically it.
I drive it HARD, almost everyday , for about 5 years now, and it NEVER failed me, EVER.
Always starts.
The only thing sometimes is the clutch, it tends to stick when parking it over in the weekend (mostly I also drive it in the weekends, but not always)
Fantastic little engine's they are, practically the same as the 50cc version (wich I have with an 80cc, 80cc head, and faster cam and carb) , probably is a 5 speed, I have a 4 , but it makes no difference in general.
200dollar is a fare price, 150 you can try, but why all that talk about 50dollar... just give 200dollar and be happy !
The reason why it's a none runner is probably the ignition, I remember in the first year I had my little Honda I putted on a new coil and points.
In general a weak point in every engine, just renew these things anyway, and your guaranteed that these parts will work for the next 10years to come.
Very low costs bike's to service or to repair, nothing ever break down !
Next year im going to try the little 125Twin engine, heard not much bad story's about them, but they seem to need more service than the single's.
