Having had my CB77 from new, and had the mufflers off and on a few times!the origional stainless ones (round hole) the hole very rarely lined up. I found there was enough slack in the engine mounting bolts to move the motor around until the hole lined up. It was far easier to leave the bolt out, never seemed to make much difference. Still, using one origional muffler after 50 years and 140,000 miles.
Leon.
