Certificate of conformity
Certificate of conformityBasically has anybody ever had need of these when registering a restoration in the UK. Iv had no indication i needed one from anywhere including the DVLA. Iv spent months sorting docs only to find all over the V55/5 doc that I may need a certificate of conformity to fill it in and i don't know what it is or how to get one. google results seem unclear to me
Cheers mike
Just fill in as much information as you have on the v55/5 there were plenty of blank spaces on mine when I did it, I assume you have a NOVA, I believe the certificate of conformity doesn't apply to vehicles over a certain age, and these bikes would fall into that category. The certificate I think describes the vehicle tested by VOSA so all subsequent production vehicles would be the same.

hi there
no i don't have a nova as the bikes been in the country for to long and I wasn't the importer. I have a letter from HMRC to state that the nova isn't requried and the DVLA told me as long as i send a copy it should be fine. I have a valid MOT and certificate of dating from honda owners club that they gave me after i emailed them a whole bunch of pics of the bike.
I doubt that you need to fill that in but if you do its pretty easy to divide the weight of the bike into the claimed power to get the answer.

Please let us know how you get on. I have a CA77 in much the same situation. It was imported sometime prior to 2002 and never registered with DVLA or HMRC. In fact, it's still a pile of boxes at present!
HMRC have advised me to fill in form C&E109 and send to Salford car (automobile!) NOVA registrations. 1961 Honda CA77 Dream Touring
