Dating Cert CB77

Post by lloydy1 » Thu Jun 18, 2015 7:46 am

Hi All

I have a thread running under racers, but wasn't sure where to ask this.

I acquired a 72/77 racer which I am rebuilding/restoring. While I am in the middle of this I though I would write to Honda with the frame number/engine number and my £30 cheque to get a dating cert from them, so if in the future I wanted to get it registered I would have one to hand.

Honda kindly wrote back saying sorry cant help you as are records don't show your frame number!

I find this a little baffling to be honest as I have found a list from Honda Motor Co Ltd service division on this site with a list of engine and frame numbers which mine falls into the year of 1964.

Can anyone tell me please if Honda will not give me a cert is there anyone else with in the club who can issue one?

My frame number is CB77-102495

If anyone can point me in the right direct it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks Dave.

Dave

The VJMC, VMCC or Honda Owner's club in England should be able to help. Give them a copy of the page out of the honda parts manual.

I have CB77 102533 - Just a bit later than yours.....

I can send you a better copy of the list if you need it.
