After a long break working on other projects, I have been spurred on with this project when I found a NOS muffler to match th eearly left one I had. This new one was NOS but quite rusty and looks very, very early because it is much lighter and has a very rudimentry middle bracket mount,
I'm hoping it can be rechromed as it is very thin compared to the later type.
The 'good' muffler I have, managed to pick up a few storage dents, so I got that stripped ready for a little filling.I used a suitable grade of silver solder to fill the dings after consultation with the chrome platers
It's going to take quite a while before they are replated but at least I can sit back and let someone else do the work.
Now I have to get motivated to finish off the seat and one or two other details.
