Gaskets and piston rings were in today's mail. I have to leave at 11 a.m. tomorrow for an antique motorcycle gathering. I think the Dream will make it! ;)

I had the lower end back together while waiting for parts so when the seals came in, it was down to work.

Image

Rings on, pistons back in the cylinders, and with the head on, it was time to set the cam timing.

When you are one old woman alone in the shop, hanging an engine is a P.I.T.A.!!! But it got done with only minor swearing ;)

Image

Brake pedal, foot rests, exhausts, tank, etc. back on and it was time for the acid test.

Have yet to test the clutch and brakes but what the heck - that's what an antique motorcycle gathering is for! ;)

I forgot to take a picture of the bike all together!

Image

The bike in the back is my '62 Honda C100, also running but in need of electrical.

No I haven't - it is still doing the same as before the overhaul.

I suspect that the low gear (with the kickstart ratchet) isn't engaging properly but haven't had a chance to investigate any further. I also lost my neutral light when I did the overhaul so I have to trace that down as well - probably missed an electrical connection in the rush.
