Travel, work and good gardening weather have kept me out of the workshop for a few weeks and I really need to get back to my project. I had a few minutes in the workshop this week to check pout what the next job was on the engine.
I have stripped down the right hand cover and cleaned up all of the kickstart parts. Surprisingly, there is no damage to the cover or the kickstart bush, but I will make a new bush to give it a better chance of survival in the future.
The cylinder head still needs a bit of work. The joint face has been a bit beaten up over the years and one chamber has some corrosion damage.
Also it has had some new valve seats pressed in and I need to re-cut the seats and blend them in to the ports a little.
I have some reamers to clean up the rocker shaft bores. These often get burred if the shafts have been punched out.
Hoping for a bit of workshop time this weekend in between my garden resoration duties.... :-)
