Ok, I removed the cable from the brake pedal. Maybe the cable is frozen and that is why I cant get the slack to remove it from the arm

On the front brake there was a threaded arm that went through the bracket on the hub. This does not appear to be the case on the rear. Is that correct?

Rear just slides in on the hub, not threaded.

Just scored at work and we all got $250 visa gift cards. I know I will need to order a new set of tires for this guy. Looking at the m62 gazelles. What size tubes should i be looking at, specifically the TR #

I have a set the Gazelles here in the 2.75x18 and 3.00x18 that were on a Superhawk but before the bike was even started the owner had me swap them out for Heidenau tires. If you would be interested in those take-off Gazelles I could probably make you a good deal. Also have the tubes and rim strips.
