I'm coming in way late, but I thought I'd ask how everything came out?

Thanks for asking, and you're not late at all!

I'll update briefly here, as I've gone into more detail in Ugly Betty's curious clutch configuration thread in the Transmission, etc. section of the forum.

-I took the clutch apart and found a wierd plate arrangement
-rrietman sent me 2 wire plate stopper rings (thanks, Randy)
-lm sent me new (used) clutch center, plates, friction discs and pressure plate (thanks, Ed)
-everything came together really nicely until the snap ring retainer for the clutch center wouldn't fit in the groove on the shaft
-much measuring, emails and talking with lm yesterday about what could be wrong and why (thanks again, Ed!)
-today I will attempt to machine the clutch center so it will fit

I will post more details/pics in the Transmission thread.

Wilf
