Looking for an early CB72 front fender

Jensen, Its possible later engine parts were swapped later in its life as the previous owner claimed the motor had been rebuilt (over 30 years ago). Maybe the mechanic had later parts to make repairs? I wont know what condition the motor is in until I finish up with a couple other bikes and I can take some time to go over it thoroughly. At any rate, I believe the frame is early (5 digit s/n) and maybe the motor is later (6 digit s/n).

Thanks for the numbers.
The World Parts Book shows the case vent wasn't used with the numbers ya have.
So that covers that area and as we do see the other early issue parts I'd say ya have it how it came more than not. .............lm

Hi Scott,

The linkage systems on the hubs are period correct (the nut on the break cams).
I wanted to see the underside of the headlight, but I have to learn to communicate better , I like to see the inside (where the speedo spring is attached).

Scott didn't mention it but the engine has the 10 mm sparkplugs. I also took a peak at it at the swapmeet.

Scott, can you confirm that ?

The frame and engine numbers are far apart, but that doesn't mean it's a later engine. I have seen more big differences between frame and engine numbers in the early bikes.
