Greeting to all, just joined the group as I'm finally getting serious about reving up my dad's old ride. Actually got it running a week ago, but still require a battery, and can't figure out what is correct.
I recall getting a 12N9-3A about 8 years ago, which was a waste as the side cover wouldn't go back on. Now I'm aiming for a 12N5.5-4A which I believe is skinnier, but is it rated for this machine ?
Cold as sin here in Toronto, but I can't wait to blast up and down my street !
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

65 Dream battery - VIN #
I just checked the ownership, says 1965, and VIN is 7 digits so I would say it is a 65.

65 Dream acid-filled square thing
I just measured the battery tray, it's 2 9/16 by 7 1/2.
Personally attempting a restoration on this bike might be tough if I can't figure this out. :-)
Oh well, I'm still learning.
