High Output Stator Kit
Rick's Motorsport Electrics has issued a blog post, announcing the re-introduction of their 99-102 high output stator and regulator/rectifier kit for the CA/CB/CL 72/77's. I have installed a couple of these on CB77's (not my own bikes, but I will now), and the folks seem pleased with them. A bit of creativity is required to mount the regulator/rectifier, but nothing beyond a bit of common sense. Regards, Chase

Hi LM, they don't seem to have posted any images yet. The two that I had previously received from them were each a bit different. They both had a charging coil wire mount made from injection molded material, pressed into a small metal ring. This then had to be mounted into a stock stator housing that the customer would have to provide. The tricky part is, you will have to remove the stock pointer from your old stator, or fabricate a new one, for the rotor's timing markings. This is attached with each of the stock stator's three adapters for the bolts that attach the round alternator cover, which would also be transferred from your stock stator assembly. The first regulator/rectifier unit had a four wire configuration, two from the stator with bullet connectors, an a positive and negative for the battery with ring terminals. The later version was a five wire configuration with a modular plug connection at the r/r, along with a compatible harness. Bullets again for the stator input, rings for the battery. It also had an additional white wire for switched ignition +. The r/r was about 2-1/4" x 2-3/4", with mounting bolt holes at each end. Not sure if this is what the new release will be, just my previous experience. Regards, Chase
