And I don't know what to do about it...is there a way to wire the bike up with just an off and on switch hidden somewhere? Or do I really need all 5 switch positions? Or is there anyone out there with a switch for sale??

There is, but it's a little more complicated than a normal ignition switch as the extra magneto winding for the lights on runs thru the switch.

It also functions as the light switch.
