Hello all,
I am in the process of restoring the seat on a 65 (per tag on the wire harness) CB77 (aluminum fork sliders). I swear the original seat (long gone) had the seat buckles but looking at various pictures I can't find any that show the buckles on a bike with aluminum fork lowers. What year bikes came with buckles?
Thanks,
Rich

Hi rich
I posed this question to a friend of mine who is a cb77 enthusiast. He is currently restoring 4 superhawks. I have a 66 superhawk as indicated by the wiring harness label and was told that our seat originally had the strap going under as oppose to being buckled on the side. The strap has metal reinforced ends that go over the studs on the underside of the seat.
Hope this helps
